Tim Kennedy is an active, Ranger qualified, Green Beret, Special Forces Sniper with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other locations around the globe.
He enlisted in 2003 under the 18X (Special Forces candidate) program. He attended basic training, AIT, and Airborne school at Fort Benning GA as an 11B (Infantry), before he continued Special Forces training at Fort Bragg North Carolina.
After being awarded his Green Beret in 2005 he was first assigned to 7th Special Forces Group(A), at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. where he served on an Operational Detachment Alpha. During his time in special forces he was deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was an honor graduate from Ranger school, and attended sniper school in addition to many other advanced special operation courses. Tim was deployed again in 2008. During this time he wrote a three part series of “Letters from a Foreign Land” that chronicled his time in combat. You can read theme below:

As a sniper he deployed to Afghanistan, South America, the Caribbean, and other locations worldwide. Tim competed in multiple military shooting and sniper competitions, winning and/or placing in all of them.
Tim competed on the Ultimate Soldier Challenge as a Green Beret and was featured as a “Ranger” on the Spike TV series Deadliest Warrior. Tim has also competed in the grueling 3 day Modern Army Combatives tournament, and was one of only three men to be undefeated, as well as three time champion. He is one of the only three service members to be awarded a black belt in Modern Army Combatives.
Currently Tim is assigned to Special Operations Detachment (A) as a Senior Special Forces Weapons Sergeant.
